We will forge our story!

I define me, I determine who I am, we will forge our story.

We aim to establish stronger bonds, drive positive change and promote cross border equity for our family wherever they are.

Supporting black owned businesses and organisations.

One of our fundamental objectives is to serve as a launch-pad for black owned businesses and community strengthening initiatives. By supporting private and collective ownership of businesses we will redirect black/African money spent back into our family’s hands.

How will we do this?

The money raised from the sale of shares and donations will create a pool of money which will be used to do the following:

  • Purchase buildings and land for the creation of education, training, employment and workspace opportunities;
  • Black Wall Street Market, an online marketplace for black owned businesses which will also have a physical form as a pop-up market;
  • Sankofa Saturday Schools™ African centred supplementary schools teaching black/African history and foundation National Curriculum subjects;
  • Events – From talks to festivals and everything in-between, these community strengthening events will educate and celebrate who we are;
  • Grants & loans scheme to support black businesses and organisations;
  • Partnership work – working with other organisations within the community to provide unique events and opportunities.

What’s unique about My Tribe Village is that it is owned by you (so long as you buy a share).

We here at My Tribe Village are strong believers in community ownership, community empowerment and community wealth over individual, and we like to practice what we preach so our structure means that anyone can become an owner of the village and have a say in how it’s managed and run provided you buy a share in the company and meet our membership criteria.

The village owned by you!
